ABOUT PINK PALM YOGA
I am Samantha, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor (RYT 200) with a specialization in Prenatal yoga (RPYT).
I have created this platform to share my passion for yoga. I currently teach in person at Estancia at Wiregrass and for corporate entities looking to offer yoga in the workplace. I also offer private yoga sessions and have yoga videos available on my YouTube channel.
I started practicing yoga 10 years ago as a transition from the world of dance in search of a new hobby. Reminding me of my dance roots, yoga gave me the strength & flexibility my body had been craving.
Before beginning my YTT journey, I studied at the University of South Florida, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Five years out of college and I was lost in Corporate America. One day in YTT the magic of yoga fled through my body. While I was studying the 8 limbs of yoga, I found holistic healing in the practice. It was at that moment I thought, "this is it, this is what I want to do with my life - I want to share the life-changing effects of yoga with others".
My classes draw from the framework of Hatha yoga. Students can expect to move through a series of flows, core work, strength building & balancing poses to build stability & courage.
Specifically speaking about prenatal yoga, I took interest in the specialization when my husband and I started to discuss growing our family. I was interested in how the practice could help me prepare for my personal prenatal and postnatal journey. However, as I have mentioned my overall goal as a yoga teacher is to make yoga more accessible to the community, and while searching for prenatal teacher training programs, I realized how rare the program and even classes are to find. It was that realization that truly made me interested in becoming RPTY certified.
A little about me: Florida is my home. I absolutely love the sandy shores & palm trees. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter & fur-baby, traveling, soaking up the Florida sunshine, and reading.
At Pink Palm Yoga, my goal is to bring a balance to your body, mind and spirit through asana and pranayama.
